Add Maths tuition online: fix the working steps that cost marks

Your child understands how to solve Add Maths questions in class, but loses marks on missing working steps, wrong signs or answers not in the form asked for. Add Maths tuition online at ChekGu checks homework every week, and the tutor fixes the mistakes that really happen in the class.

Free. 15 minutes. Real tutors teach; ChekGu checks.

Where Add Maths marks are usually lost

  • Incomplete working, so method marks are not awarded.
  • Sign and algebra errors that carry into the next steps.
  • Answers not written in the form asked for (for example surd form or significant figures).
  • KBAT questions that link two topics, such as Quadratic Functions and Coordinate Geometry.

Our free diagnosis shows which of these is happening to your child.

How ChekGu's loop works for Add Maths

STUDENT ChekGu

Send a photo of the answers

Each week the student answers 3-5 Add Maths KBAT questions on paper and sends a photo to the Telegram bot. ChekGu checks it against marking rubrics written by ChekGu tutors and replies with a preliminary score and a hint.

ChekGu

Find the shared mistakes

ChekGu groups the whole class's mistakes into a Diagnostic Brief: the traps most students fell into.

TUTOR

Fix them in the next class

The tutor opens the next Zoom class by fixing the top 2-3 traps. Parents get a progress digest every two weeks.

Add Maths FAQ

Are these Add Maths classes for Form 4 and Form 5?

Yes. Classes are held once a week for each subject so the practice matches what students are learning.

Who checks my child's Add Maths homework?

ChekGu does a preliminary check against marking rubrics written by ChekGu tutors, then gives a preliminary score and a hint. Tutors review the scripts ChekGu is unsure about and teach the corrections in the Zoom class.

Does ChekGu give the full answer?

No. The ChekGu gives a hint so the student thinks again. The tutor goes through the full solution in class.

What do we need to prepare for Add Maths classes?

A phone or computer with Zoom and Telegram, plus paper and a pen. [MATERIALS REQUIRED, E.G. CALCULATOR, TO CONFIRM].

ChekGu does not promise any particular grade. SPM results depend on each student's effort and readiness. ChekGu scores are preliminary and are reviewed and discussed by tutors. Marking rubrics are written by ChekGu tutors and are not official SPM marking schemes.
